The GALAX company has long since launched RTX 4090 and RTX 4090 graphics cards from the Hall of Fame (HOF) series, but there was no news about the RTX 4080 HOF graphics card due to unknown reasons. But recently the company GALAX not only one, but Three RTX 4080 graphics cards under the HOF series has introduced

It is not bad to remind first that Hall of Fame (HOF) series products are the flagship products of GALAX company. In fact, HOF graphics cards are the only overclocking graphics cards of the new generation in the absence of EVGA’s KINGPIN series graphics cards. That is why HOF series graphics cards are available to overclockers for testing before they are released to the consumer market.
As we said, GALAX has released three new graphics card models from the RTX 4080 HOF series:
- GALAXY GeForce RTX 4080 HOF OC LAB Plus-X: 2640 MHz boost, HOF Panel III
- GALAXY GeForce RTX 4080 HOF OC LAB Plus: 2640 MHz boost
- GALAXY GeForce RTX 4080 HOF OC LAB: 2595 MHz boost
As you can see, the Plus and Plus-X models have the highest factory frequencies, and the non-Plus model comes with a lower frequency. The difference between the Plus and Plus-X models is simply the HOF Panel III, which is an external display on top of the graphics card. This display shows system information or desired graphics on it.
The RTX 4080 HOF graphics card with a maximum frequency of 2640 MHz is one of the fastest RTX 4080 graphics cards on the market, but it is not the fastest. So far, the fastest RTX 4080 graphics card released is the RTX 4080 ROG Strix OC graphics card from Asus, whose frequency reaches 2655 MHz through the Asus software.
GALAX company has confirmed that these graphics cards have dual BIOS and their BIOS can be adjusted between Silent and Performance modes. In Silent mode, the frequency of the card is kept at the reference frequency of 2505 MHz and its thermal power is kept at 320 watts. In Performance mode, the basic thermal power of the card increases to 400 watts, which can be increased to 470 watts through overclocking.
GALAX company has not yet announced the price and release time of these three graphics card models and has only listed them on its official website. There is also the point that the HOF series graphics cards usually have a higher price due to their limited circulation and it is not easy to buy them.
