IDC: The share of 5G models in the mobile market will reach 40% this year

The market for 5G handsets is growing day by day, and now the latest estimates show the stunning growth of mobile phones compatible with the fifth generation of the network in 2021.

Based on IDC estimates High demand for 5G compatible devices will become the driving force behind the growth of these gadgets. According to the experts of this institute, the global market of 5G phones will face a growth of 13.9% in the first quarter of 2021 compared to the previous year, and during this year, it will experience a growth of 5.5%. The annual compound growth rate, or CAGR, is also expected to be around 3.6 percent from 2020 to 2025.

Active segments of the technology world, including supply chains, OEMs, channels and consumers, are strengthened by the experiences they gained from the Corona pandemic last year, and are even more prepared to deal with it if this scenario is repeated. As a result, it is not possible to stop this growth.

Given this level of readiness and planning, IDC expects 5G gadgets to continue to grow in the coming months. However, retailers may face temporary problems in this situation because in the face of widespread demand and supply constraints, manufacturers give more value to the main sellers and prioritize them.

This widespread acceptance of 5G has boosted the overall mobile world, especially the iPhone 12 series, and according to IDC forecasts, 5G phones will account for about 40% of the total mobile market in 2021 and 69% in 2025. At the same time, the average price of phones in 2021 will reach $ 363, which is higher than previous forecasts ($ 349).
