Blizzard Entertainment has announced that one of the changes in the third season of Overwatch 2 is the weakening of Mercy.
According to The Verge news agency, “Blizzard” company plans to consider different aspects in the third season of this game, along with the introduction of a new map, the dating sim feature and the addition of the One-Punch Man anime environment. Blizzard Entertainment in one blog posthas described the features of the third season of Overwatch 2 for players.
The major changes of the third season include reducing the health of “Tank” characters in non-role queue modes, the return of the Workshop editor, and updating the game’s ping. The ping update allows players to select any ping to place in the Ping Wheel Men menu. This change could make it easier for players to communicate.
New features of the character Mercy in the third season of Overwatch 2
In Overwatch 2’s mid-season update, Blizzard Entertainment reduced Roadhog’s ability to kill multiple enemies with one shot. Now this change also includes the status of Tank characters. The developers are reducing the amount of damage caused by Reinhardt’s Earthshatter ability in the third season of the game, allowing less time to take down enemies.
Among other changes of the third season of Overwatch 2 game, we can mention the reduction of Junkrat’s brain mine, the increase of Zenyatta’s ammo, Brigitte’s armor package and the reduction of Widowmaker’s health. The most important feature of the third season of Overwatch 2 is the addition of a self-healing mode for the hero character Mercy.
Mercy can now heal teammates by 25% with her self-healing ability. Of course, the speed of recovery of the players’ health has also changed. Allies below 50% health will heal faster, but Mercy’s base healing rate will be reduced by 45-50 seconds per second. Also, in the third season, Mercy’s “Guardian Angel” ability has been increased from 1.5 seconds to 2.5 seconds.
