Kolesa.ru website has gained a name and fame by publishing accurate renderings of various models before its official unveiling. The Russian site has now, in an unexpected move, published a picture of a high-chassis sonata to dispel rumors that Hyundai will release such a version.
The current generation Hyundai Sonata has been able to attract the positive opinion of most car magazines due to its special design and good performance. This mid-size sedan performs very well in all versions – from the hybrid model to the sporty N-Line version – and reveals Hyundai’s design and engineering advances in the best possible way. As the time for the launch of the Facelift version approaches, the question now arises as to whether the Russian website agents have any information about the development of the Sonata long-wheelbase model that they designed for this rendering?
So far, Hyundai has not said anything about launching a chassis or crossover Sonata, and it is unclear whether the Koreans have put such a program on the agenda. In any case, the rendering designed by Kolesa.ru depicts Hyundai at a much higher altitude. In addition, plastic and aluminum protectors can be seen in some parts of the body.
You might say that offering a sedan suitable for off-road routes is an unlikely and unexpected event; But in response, it should be said that Volvo has already implemented this idea with the S60 cross country.
This version of the S60 entered production lines in 2015 in limited numbers. Interestingly, with Volvo’s decision, only one of these cars was allocated to the company’s dealerships in the United States. This version of the S60 was actually the same V60 cross-country station wagon that entered the market in the form of a sedan.
It is worth mentioning that the version of Facelift Sonata will be introduced next year. Given the specific design of the current model and its up-to-dateness, it is unlikely that Hyundai will make major changes to the facelift version. However, we will probably see changes in equipment and technological updates to the Facelift model. Apart from the Sonata, Hyundai will also unveil the Facelift version of the Palisade Chassis next year.
