For some time now, Kerman Motor has decided to increase the internalization depth of Jack cars with the cooperation of parts manufacturers. One of the first target products for this is the J4 compact sedan. Kerman Motor has been able to provide the basis for internalization of its parts by purchasing points and technical knowledge for the production of this car. Kerman Motor wants to return the J4 jack to the market with 85% localization.
In September of this year, Kerman Motor held an exhibition and was able to attract the positive opinion of a number of component companies for the internalization of J4. Kadek Engineering, meanwhile, is responsible for internalizing the 1.5-liter powertrain and J4 jack electrical systems.
The company has been able to purchase the necessary molds for the body and interior trim of the J4 and provide it to parts manufacturers. According to rumors, the production of body moldings and J4 cabin decorations will begin in Iran in April 1400. Seyed Hamid Ahmadi is in charge of the Jack J4 internalization project. “Production of the J4 in Iran began with 20 percent localization, but by May next year, it will reach 34 percent, and in June, another 1.5 percent will be added,” he said.
Hamid Ahmadi pointed to the importance of propulsion among auto parts and said that Kadak was obliged to attract the attention of Iranian companies to internalize the J4 propulsion. “Gradually, the parts that are internalized will be removed from Jack’s imported CKD packs,” he said.
Ahmadi also gave the good news that the Jack J4 engine will be fully and 100% localized by the end of 1400. It is noteworthy that the 1.5-liter engine of Jack J4 is also available on Jack S3, and therefore its internalization will reduce the cost of other Jack products in the country.
With the completion of the propulsion localization, the internalization level of the J4 jack reaches 85%. In the meantime, only the CVT gearbox remains, which Iran is not currently able to internalize. But maybe in the future, the basis for the localization of this piece will be provided in our country.
To date, Kerman Motor Company has produced and supplied nearly 6,000 J4 jacks. But with the internalization programs defined for it, J4 will become the company’s most widely circulated product. As Kerman Motor intends to record a circulation of 20,000 units for the J4 jack in 1400.
According to news sources, the Jack J4 will probably be produced in the next 5 years without any changes. But from then on, Kerman Motor may offer facelifts or new models of this car. In the end, Hamid Ahmadi did not underestimate the point that the entry of parts manufacturers into the internalization process of the J4 jack will gradually improve the technology and technical knowledge of domestic companies.
