The BMW 5 Series E60 was on the production line between 2003 and 2010. A car that was once considered one of the most attractive cars on the market and had its own fans, but as time goes by, its appearance gets older. Recently, a Chinese website launched a new bumper kit and windshield for the E60 that can be installed in place of the original car parts to give it a look similar to the new generation M3 and M2.
The exclusive BMW M2 windshield kit is sold in normal size for 1,800 yuan ($ 275) and in very large size for 2,500 yuan ($ 382) in China. Both kits are colorless raw and made of ABS plastic. According to the pictures published by the seller of the kits, it is not possible to use a beautiful title for them. In both kits, we see the use of large air intake networks that give the car a strange look. However, it seems that the combination of this giant windshield with the appearance of E60 is far more ugly than what we saw in the new M2.
The remarkable thing about these designs is the reminder of the golden age of BMW history, which can be considered the main element of this era, the vertical windshield. Although the BMW E60 was first introduced 19 years ago, with these two new kits coming into the hands of car owners from April 2022, it’s as if we are dealing with a 2021 car. Sales of the BMW 5 Series E60 began in the United States in 2004. The station wagon version was released some time later. The special design of the front and rear lights of this room was the most noticed by the people and the media at that time.
The 5 Series E60 5 Series M5 is powered by a 5.0-liter V10 engine that delivers 500 horsepower at 7,750 rpm. Europeans only bought this model with a 7-speed automatic transmission. But the Americans could also order it with a 6-speed manual transmission. Also, the station wagon version of the M5 was only available in Europe.
