For the second time in nine months, the expensive Learmousine limousine, which looks more like a private jet, went up for auction. The first time this weird limousine was found in the automotive world was in 2019, when it was used in an episode of the Ridiculous Rides series. The owner of this limousine allegedly spent more than $ 1 million to build it. But at the time, he wanted to sell only half of the property for $ 5 million.
The Mecum auction event, held from June 23 to 28, 2020, entered the pricing process for the first time. But the sale of “Lermozin” failed at that auction. Because no one was willing to pay more than $ 600,000 to get it. But it seems that this year, too, the Mecum auction is once again trying to find a customer for Lirmozin. The auction will take place in 2021, from May 14 to 22.
The limousine was a private jet before it was turned into an aristocratic limousine by Dan Harris. Harris attached the body of the jet to a custom steel chassis, which he says has been under research, study and design for two years.
The paint used for the Lermosin exterior is a dense candy red, and since the vehicle is no longer supposed to be a personal jet, giant speakers have been installed at the site of the jet turbine engines.
The driving force of the Lermosin is the Chevrolet Vertek V8 engine, which is a semi-heavy truck. It has 400 horsepower, while the weight of the Leermozine reaches 5,443 kg (12,000 pounds)!
Nevertheless, Lermozin is still able to reach speeds of up to 160 km / h. When this giant limousine participated in last year’s auction, it was to be delivered with a 44-foot trailer pulled by a 2015 Chevrolet 2500 HD.
Regarding this year’s auction, there is no mention of whether Lermozin will be sold this time with a trailer or killer.
