Leading Apple analyst Ming-Chi Koo first appeared in 2022 to talk about the release of the AirPad Pro 2 in the New Year. He claims that the AirPad series will have many changes in the future.
Analyst at TF International Securities in a note to investors Wrote“We expect the AirPad Pro 2 to be available in the fourth quarter of 2022 with a number of features, including a new form factor, support for Apple’s No Loss Format (ALAC) and a charging case that can generate its own alarm sound. “We are optimistic about the demand for the AirPad Pro 2 and anticipate that sales of this device will reach 18 to 20 million units in 2022.”
The AirPad Pro 2 will support uninterrupted sound
This is the first time we have heard about the loss of sound in a wireless airbag. Given that Apple’s senior vice president has previously said that Bluetooth restrictions have hindered the development of the AirPad, we can expect Apple to apply a new standard on the AirPad Pro 2. Ming-Chi Koo also believes that the AirPod could have health functions in the future.
Overall, the analyst says that the condition of these products is good because of the sales of 27 million in the fourth quarter of 2021, which was better than expected. Ko now predicts that AirPad sales will reach 90 million units by 2022 with an annual growth of 25%. Sales beyond the AirPad in two consecutive seasons have shown that Apple’s strategy in selling these products has been right.
Since even the AirPad Max does not support lossless format, if the second generation AirPod Pro is equipped with this feature, we should probably see the release of this feature in the next generation AirPad Max or a software update very soon. But the main question is whether the difference between using the undisputed format is so great that it attracts positive feedback from users or not. We have to wait and see.
