In January of this year, Mini introduced its new range of updated cars. At the time, John Cooper’s version was briefly mentioned, but today the British automaker has released more details of the updated version of this premium hatchback. Along with a press release, the official images of this product have been shared in high quality for the first time.
Starting from the outside, we see the headlights with a beautiful LED arrangement that still retains its circular shape. The grille is hexagonal, but larger air intakes can also be seen at the bottom of the bumper. The presence of these fans, in addition to creating beauty, also ensures better cooling of the driving forces and brakes.
Perhaps the most important change in the cabin is the multimedia display, which is now accompanied by new software and more beautiful graphics. Online gadgets are now visible in the car’s multimedia system and can be easily accessed via the touch screen. New options have been added for the cabin lighting system settings.
Apparently, nothing has changed under the hood, and the Mini John Cooper continues on its way with a 2.0-liter twin-turbo 231-horsepower gasoline engine. The engine has a torque of 320 Nm and is mated to a standard 6-speed manual transmission. The 2022 Mini John Cooper can accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 6.3 seconds. By choosing an 8-speed automatic transmission, the acceleration of this car can be increased to 6.1 seconds.
For the new model, John Cooper has used a new adjustable suspension system that provides the necessary pressure when dealing with small bumps with additional valves. The Mini promises that with this new suspension, there will be a better balance between comfort and sportiness while driving. Of course, the adjustment suspension, such as the black piano parts and the superior leather trim of the cabin, will be a separate and customizable option for John Cooper 2022.
