Nvidia is working on the next generation of its graphics cards codenamed “Lovelace”, which is expected to bear the name RTX 40. Now, one of the sources has announced the possibility of releasing these graphics cards in the third season of 2022.

According to the Twitter account «kopite7kimiIn the third quarter of 2022, we will face RTX 4080, RTX 4070 and RTX 4090 graphics cards. So Nvidia will probably unveil the RTX 40 series graphics cards in July next year, although according to reports to date, this date seems a bit optimistic.

According to rumors, these graphics cards have a high thermal design power and their TDP is in the range of 450 to 500 watts, which is higher than current graphics cards. A source has previously said that users will need a 1200 watt power supply unit to use the RTX 4090 graphics card.

Given that Nvidia has not officially announced the release date of these graphics cards, we can not trust the various reports. In the past, some rumors had suggested the possibility of introducing RTX 40 series graphics cards in the fourth season of 2022.

Of course, it is possible that Nvidia will unveil these graphics cards in the third season of 2022 and make them available to users in the fourth season. Given the long time we have until the introduction of these graphics cards, we still have to wait for the release of new information about them.

Next year, Nvidia graphics cards will have to compete with the new generation of AMD graphics. AMD recently unveiled a new generation of EPYC server processors called the Milan-X, as well as the Instinct MI200 GPU, whose GPU rivals the A100.
