Over the past year, 72% of organizations and companies have been attacked by ransomware

طی یکسال گذشته ۷۲ درصد سازمان‌ها و شرکت‌ها مورد حمله باج افزاری قرار گرفته‌اند

According to SpyCloud researchers, about 72% of organizations and companies around the world have been affected by ransomware attacks at least once in the last 12 months, while 18% of them have experienced such cyber attacks more than six times.

Cybercrime is becoming more widespread, and large companies such as Twitch and Acer have been attacked by hackers in recent times. According to a new report, many companies appear to have been affected by ransomware attacks in the past year due to the lack of a proper cyber attack prevention program.

SpyCloud researchers Reported Most of the cyber security organizations surveyed (81%) believe that their security is above average or exceptional. At the same time, 72% reported that their organization has been affected by ransomware attacks at least once in the last 12 months, and 18% of organizations have been affected by such threats more than six times. Given the prevalence of these cyberattacks, the SpyCloud report states that “all organizations, with the exception of those with more than 25,000 employees, have been almost equally affected by ransomware attacks.”

In addition, 18% of respondents to the survey believe they will not be involved in ransomware attacks next year, 13% say they will be threatened at least once, and 22% of other organizations say it is likely to occur several times. Will happen. It seems that businesses’ confidence in their readiness to deal with ransomware attacks is incorrect.

The difference between organizations in dealing with this type of cyber attack and their vulnerability to ransomware attacks is due to the lack of proper investment in prevention. While respondents identified phishing emails and weak or stolen credentials as the most dangerous agents of ransomware, many lack proper preventive measures. For example, 41% of organizations use a password complexity system, and only 55.6% have implemented a multi-factor authentication (MFA) system.

Prevention and vigilance play an important role in countering the threat of ransomware. Raising security awareness, enforcing password security protocols, and monitoring the identification of exposed documents and changing them before criminals use them to infiltrate the organization’s networks are among the basic precautions that all companies must take.
