3DMark benchmark of RX 7900 XT/XTX graphics cards
In the 3DMark TimeSpy benchmark, the RX 7900 XT lags behind the RTX 4080 by only 2 percent at 4K Extreme settings, but is about 10 percent ahead of its main competitor at 1440p resolution. The interesting thing is that in 4K resolution, there is no special difference between the two graphics cards RX 7900 XT and RX 7900 XTX, and in 1440p resolution the difference is only 4%.
In the 3DMark FireStrike benchmark, the RX 7900 XTX managed to beat the RTX 4080 at both 4K and 1440p resolutions by 10%, while it was only 1-2% ahead of the RX 7900 XT.
As announced by AMD itself, the RX 7900 series graphics cards are the main competitors of the RTX 4080 graphics card. Compared to the previous generation, the RX 7900 XTX flagship graphics card is about 30% faster than AMD’s flagship RX 6950 XT and has a lower price. Unfortunately, AMD’s flagship graphics cards of the new generation, the RX 7900 series, cannot compete with the RTX 4090 graphics card and are a head below it.
Keep in mind that FireStrike and TimeSpy benchmarks are not modern tests and do not include new technologies such as Ray Tracing and oversampling, and you cannot compare the actual performance of the cards based on their results. To compare the actual performance of the cards, we only have to wait three more days to see reviews of RX 7900 graphics cards by independent hardware media.
