Google’s annual developer conference or Google I/O was finally held, and after the Pixel 7a and Pixel Tablet, it was time for the company’s first foldable phone to be released. Rumors about Pixel Fold have been heard for a long time, and even Google itself confirmed the presence of this phone by releasing a short teaser, but now with the official unveiling, more information about this phone has become available.

Specifications of the Google Pixel Fold phone
Like Samsung folding phones, this phone has an external display and an internal display and can be used in two ways. Pixel Fold’s dimensions are 139.7 x 79.5 x 12.5 mm when closed and 139.7 x 158.7 x 5.8 mm when open. This phone weighs 283 grams and has IPX8 certification. That means it’s water-resistant, but it won’t have certified dust resistance.
The external display of this phone is 5.8 inches OLED with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, an aspect ratio of 17.4:9 and a refresh rate of 120 Hz, which is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus. The HDR brightness of this display is 1200 and reaches 1550 nits at the highest level.
The 7.6-inch Pixel Fold OLED internal screen has an aspect ratio of 6:5, a resolution of 2208 x 1840, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and is manufactured with Ultra Thin Glass technology with a protective plastic layer. The HDR brightness of this display is up to 1000 nits and its maximum brightness is 1450 nits.

The fingerprint sensor is embedded in the power switch of the device. This phone supports two SIM cards, but only one physical SIM card slot (the second SIM card must be eSIM) is intended for it. Other features of this phone include stereo speakers, and a 4821 mAh battery that supports Google’s 30W USB-C charger. The operating system of this phone is Android 13.
Pre-orders for the Pixel Fold have started in the US for $1,799 in black and silver, and will be available next month. With the purchase of this phone, users will also get a free Pixel watch.
