Poco, one of the most popular mobile brands in the mid-range market, recently unveiled a new logo and advertising personality for its Indian segment. The company also mentioned its new ad phrase “Made of Mad.”
The company’s new promotional character, which looks like a combination of emojis, is also in the company logo is presesnt. Poco claims that by making this change, it wants to redefine the word madness, which is why the emoji used in this logo looks angry and evil.
Poko started its work in 2018 as one of the Xiaomi subsets. The brand became independent last year and now operates separately. However, despite the company’s insistence on independence, Poco still uses Xiaomi handset hardware, and several of the company’s handsets are registered under the Xiaomi brand. The POCO M3 is just one example of a product launched under the Xiaomi brand.
In this logo, a lot of attention has been paid to the letter O, and this letter is placed in the middle of the logo like an emoji. The halo on the head of this emoji shows a kind of good feeling to others. Given that Poco has chosen the new advertising term Made of Mad, the branches of this emoji can point to its evil and mischievous aspects.
Visual identity change is not an alien concept among technology companies, and many companies have made similar decisions to better communicate with their audiences. The first product expected to use these new designs is the Poco X3 Pro, which will be introduced in March. Not many specifications of this phone have been released yet, but the rumors that are coming from this mobile phone indicate that we will encounter a 4G mid-range phone similar to the Poco X3.
According to Counterpoint Research, Poco is currently the third largest phone brand in terms of online sales in India.
