Recently, AMD has decided Ryzen 3 4300G Zen 2 processor to DIY markets. This APU is going to be released in the Asian market at a price of around $100.
Ryzen 3 4300G Zen 2 price in Asian markets
This APU is essentially a member of the Ryzen 4000G Renoir family of processors that were first introduced three years ago in 2020, but were exclusive to OEMs and off-the-shelf systems. In fact, there was no news of these processors being released to the consumer market (or DIY market). Anyway, it seems that AMD company has a large circulation of Ryzen 3 4300G Zen 2 processor in its warehouses, which has been unused by OEMs; Because this processor has come to the DIY market after three years and is currently available in Japan for ¥15,800 (about $115 with tax).
A quad-core Zen 2 processor
The Ryzen 3 4300G is a low-end 4-core, 8-thread Zen 2 APU. As we said, this processor is a low-end processor and is used for home-office systems. The maximum frequency of this processor with internal Radeon graphics reaches 4.0 GHz, and its base frequency is 3.8 GHz. This processor also has 256 KB L1 cache, 2 MB L2 cache and 4 MB L3 cache. The basic thermal power of this processor is 65 watts, but its energy consumption varies between 45 and 65 watts.

AMD’s Ryzen 4000 Zen 2 processors are based on TSMC’s 7nm FinFET node. These processors are based on the AMD socket, which is the older socket of the red team. This processor was introduced for the first time in July 2020 and as we said, its supply was exclusive to the OEM market until now. R3 4300G processor supports PCIe 3.0 interface and DDR4-3200 memory and has dual-channel memory support. The internal graphics of this APU is equipped with 6 processing cores that operate at a frequency of 1700 MHz.
The interesting thing is that this processor can be overclocked, but even in the case of overclocking, it is not considered a special competitor for new generation processors. The Ryzen 7 3700X processor, as a desktop processor from two generations ago, is ahead of this processor with twice the score. But users who are looking for a low-end home-office system and just want to open text documents and web pages with their system, go for APUs like the R3 4300G. Even an R5 3600 processor beats this processor!
The Ryzen 3 4300G processor is scheduled to be released on March 10 in Asian markets.
