Since two and a half years ago, the RTX 3060 Ti and RTX 3070 graphics cards were the most popular graphics cards from Nvidia. Especially the RTX 3070 graphics card, which hasn’t experienced a price drop since its launch in late 2020 until now, i.e. for two and a half years.
Reduced price of RTX 3070 graphics card
The good news is that the spell of the RTX 3070 graphics card is finally broken Its price has decreased. The graphics card is currently available in Germany for €449, which is €50 cheaper than the MSRP of €449.
This news was reported by the 3DCanter site, which recently published a comprehensive report on the state of the graphics card market in Germany. In this report, all modern graphics cards from the last two generations, i.e. RTX 40, RTX 30, RX 6000, RX 7000 and of course Arc A300 graphics cards are present. In terms of price, the RTX 3070 graphics card is currently placed between the two Radeon RX 6800 and Radeon RX 6750 XT graphics cards, both of which have more memory than the RTX 3070 and their purchase value is higher.
If we want to compare the prices of the German market with the US market, we find that RTX 3070 graphics cards from popular brands are still available at a price of $499. Of course, lesser-known Chinese brands have started to reduce the price of this graphics card, and their customized models can be purchased at prices as low as $499. Anyway, the main positive is that the price of the RTX 3070 graphics card has finally dropped below MSRP and the spell has been broken.
The price reduction of this graphics card has two main reasons: the introduction of the new generation of this graphics card, the GeForce RTX 4070, and specifically for the European market, the depreciation of the euro compared to the dollar. The RTX 3070 graphics card is not the only graphics card that undergoes a price reduction these days, and these days we hear a lot of news about graphics card price reductions.
