Sony It has recently unveiled a series of digital music players with touch screen support in the NW-A300 and NW-ZX700 models, and these new walkmans provide the user with the ability to play, stream and download music. Sony has also admitted that these devices come with Android 12 support and support for apps like Spotify with good sound quality.
The cheaper model, the NW-A300, will be priced at $360 in Japan and $430 in Europe. This model measures 56.6 x 98.5 x 12 mm, the size of a credit card, and its 3.6-inch touch screen also supports 60 Hz HD resolution and Wi-Fi 802.11ac. Benefiting from Bluetooth 5, USB-C 3.2 Gen1, micro SD slot and headphone jack are also other features of this Walkman model.
Sony’s new NW-A300 Walkman uses a quad-core Snapdragon SoC supported by 4GB of RAM, and Sony promises 36 hours of music playback in FLAC 44.1 KHz quality. However, this time will probably be longer with the screen off. The higher-end model of this series (NW-ZX700), which is almost the same price as the Samsung Galaxy S22, is going to be available for $818.
In this model, Sony has tried to justify the high price of this model by adding a high-quality audio amplifier and large capacitors that provide analog sound output. This model also supports an 11nm Qualcomm QCS4290 processor with support for 8 Kryo 260 cores and its GPU is Adreno 610.
5-inch HD screen, 64 GB internal memory, standard 3.5 mm jack and 23 hours of audio playback are other features of this model. However, the second model, NW-ZX700, is bigger in terms of size and display than the previous one, and its price is double. However, both of these new walkmans use Sony’s artificial intelligence to improve the sound quality. Sony has finally announced that both models of these Walkmans will be released in Japan in February.
