The director of Assassin's Creed Origins is leaving Ubisoft

Assassin’s Creed Origins director Jean Guesdon plans to leave Ubisoft after 17 years.

Recently, “Jane Gosdon”, the long-time director of Ubisoft company, announced his departure from this company. Ubisoft has faced the departure of several experienced creators over the past few years, and Gosdon is the latest member to leave the company.

The creative director of Black Flag and Origins confirmed his departure from Ubisoft on his personal page LinkedIn He announced himself and thanked the branch of “Ubisoft Montreal” (Ubisoft Montreal) for the time he spent with its members. According to information previously published on Gosdon’s LinkedIn account, after completing the development of Assassin’s Creed Origins, he is working on an unannounced project for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/ “S” (Xbox Series X/S) and personal computer (PC).

According to the website Kotaku, this project is a collaborative title with similarities to the Minecraft game, and most likely other members of Ubisoft are working on it. Ubisoft started 2023 with difficulty. Earlier this year, the company canceled three unannounced titles and delayed the release date of Skull & Bones for the sixth time.

Further, Ubisoft announced in its financial report that it has canceled Project Q, which was an online cooperative shooter game. Also, in the last days of last January, about 40 employees of this company went on strike and demanded the improvement of working conditions from the heads of the said company.
