The first official images of the new Genesis crossover have been released

Genesis has unveiled its new design language with the X Concept, and it looks like the automaker has a new plan for this month. A black-and-white image of the global unveiling of the company’s new product on April 19 at the Shanghai Motor Show is Genesis’ latest cyber-marginalization. But what is it really about?

This image does not give us much specific information. Only a close-up of the front window and the lights is visible. The pattern on the windshield looks very similar to the design on the windshield of the electric version of the Genesis GV70, which was leaked earlier this year. The headlights are exactly the same as the car. Of course, this is just a hypothesis, but we believe that with this teaser, Genesis has welcomed the introduction of its new product, GV70e.

Genesis Crossover

As far as we know, the Genesis all-electric chassis is not going to be built on Hyundai’s modular electric platform. The same platform that underlies the construction of many new Hyundai, Kia and Genesis products. Instead, the new Genesis all-electric product will likely be based on the current Genesis GV70 structure. Only the internal combustion engine is replaced by an electric motor.

This decision has not yet been made for the smaller GV60. The car will be built on a new platform and many of its technologies will be shared with Hyundai Ionic 5 and Kia EV6. This product is also supposed to have a different face than the current teasers. So we consider the recent Genesis teaser as a preview of the electric version of the GV70e, which makes no mention of the company’s new product, the GV60.

The official unveiling date of the new Genesis electric crossover is set for April 19 at 11:40 a.m. South Korean time. This watch may not be suitable for other inhabitants of the planet. However, the Genesis brand has considered this watch for global introduction.
