Like it or not, the life of internal combustion engines is over. This may not happen today or tomorrow, but there is now room for the automotive industry to become electrified. According to new reports, even the most popular sports cars in the world are becoming clean and quiet cars! The latest reports indicate that the Ford Electric Mustang will enter the market by 2028.
Of course, this will not happen overnight. The closest time to buy an electric Mustang is estimated at December 2028! In other words, practically in 2029, our eyes will be opened to the beauty of this muscle without pollution! According to media reports, the electric Mustang will be based on the next generation of this American coupe. This means that fortunately we will never see the current generation Mustang in the form of an electric car! From this news, it can be concluded that the current generation Mustang, which has been on the production line since 2013, will remain in Ford’s product portfolio for another seven years.
Ford wants to bypass all internal combustion engines to bring the new generation Mustang (S650) into the electric age! Production of this generation is planned at the Michigan plant. Where the current generation assembly is done. It’s a little surprising that the current generation life cycle of the Mustang (S550) is set to reach 15 years! One possible scenario is that the S650 will likely be unveiled before the all-electric version, in other words, the new internal combustion versions of the Mustang are not going to be a new generation!
Because new gasoline Mustangs will be unveiled by 2022 or 2023, and will probably experience the same seven- to eight-year life cycle. The S650 is rumored to come with a four-wheel drive system as standard, but so far this has not been officially confirmed.
With that said, we now face a number of conflicting theories about the new Mustang. From now until 2028, many changes may occur. However, it seems unlikely that the current generation Mustang will retire until the next generation changes. Of course, before introducing the Mustang, Ford introduced a postmodern version of this popular product. Yes! Talk about a Mustang Mac! A modern electric crossover with a genuine Muscle gesture!
With all that said, it seems that Ford executives behind the scenes are desperately looking to eliminate internal combustion engines. A not-so-attractive future that awaits popular sports like the Mustang, and may not be to the liking of fans of this proud name!
