Samsung is working on the development of the next generation of its clamshell phones, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4, and information about them has been released unofficially before the due date.
According to Korean media, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 will benefit from improved camera technology under the display, and this time Samsung will equip both its clamshell selfie camera (on the inner and outer display) with this technology.
The main cameras on the back panel of the device will also be improved, but the exact details have not been revealed yet. The Korean media hopes that these two phones will be on par with the best devices on the market in terms of cameras. In addition, the Fold 4 is said to use a new hinge that will make it lighter than the previous model, as well as increase the device’s resistance to water and dust.
The battery capacity of the new generation of Samsung clamshell phone will not change much compared to the Fold 3, and its release period will be the same as the previous generation.
The Flip 4 is also said to have prototypes with both a selfie camera under the screen and a traditional special aperture, and apparently Samsung has not yet decided which technology to use. The Korean tech giant is also apparently considering whether to upgrade the hinge of the device like the Fold 4. Finally, it is said that Flip 4, like Fold 4, will be released in the second half of 2022.
It should be noted that the development of these two devices is still in its infancy and therefore the details provided can not be fully confirmed. To this end, Samsung can launch a new generation of its clamshell phone with different features. Until then, we have to wait for the news and new details about them.
