Alexandra Mary Hirsch, known on social media as SuperCarblandi, recently took the opportunity to see the pre-production version of the new Hummer and briefly review it. The strange thing is that according to the reviews of this famous celebrity, the quality of the electric Hummer cabin is not good and the plastic used in different parts is not very suitable.
As you probably know, after a decade of liquidation, General Motors has decided to revive the Hummer brand in the form of an electric pickup under the GMC brand. Of course, this pickup also has a long chassis version and will be sold with different engines.
SuperCarblandi believes that the headlight gives a special effect to this electric chassis and distinguishes it. According to this popular celebrity, the Edition 1 Hummer can cover up to 350 miles (560 km) without the need to recharge. Of course, this claim is probably incorrect, because GMC has already promised a range of 300 miles or 483 kilometers for this version in an official announcement.
As we mentioned at the beginning, SuperCarblandi criticizes the plastic used at the bottom of the dashboard, calling it poor quality. The poor quality of the plastic used is so great that Supercarblandi describes it as poor as the prototype. Given the high price of the electric Hummer, if this problem persists in the mass production model, it is likely that General Motors will face a lot of criticism.
Poor quality plastic is not the only drawback of the electric hammer, as there are many problems in terms of assembly. Level alignment, variable panel spacing, and extra noise are other drawbacks of the Hummer pre-production version.
It is worth mentioning that the fully equipped electric Hummer trim is known as Edition 1 and its release is planned for the fall, if the global shortage of chips does not delay this issue. The $ 99,995 3X trim is scheduled for release in the fall of 2022, and the 2X and EV2 trims, priced at $ 90,000 and $ 80,000, respectively, will be available from spring 2023 and spring 2024.
