The possible face of the new Kia Sportage was drawn by freelance designers

A leaked video was recently released showing the new generation Kia Sportage camouflaged in the corner of a parking lot. Since no one was around the car, the cameraman was able to get very close to the crossover. Now, rough-handed graphic artist Gotcha Cars has drawn an imaginary rendering of the new Sportage’s face with his own personal take of the video.

In this rendering, we see the new Sportage with distinct faces already. This overview of the new generation Sportage can be very close to reality. Vertical trapezoidal headlights are the most important feature of this rendering. Meanwhile, daylight bulbs also occupy the margins of these lights. The front of the Kia tiger snout can still be clearly seen on the car’s face. Of course, its main element is now enclosed in the form of small pieces between the lights. Instead, the lower part is covered by a much larger network.

A little further down, we see horizontal grids that also house the front projectors. From Kia’s new products, it can be predicted that the new Sportage will also have a very eye-catching cabin. In the cabin of the new generation of Kia cars, modern technologies are beautifully implemented. The new Sportage will be designed on a joint platform with the latest generation Tucson. Depending on the target market, this car can be offered with two different wheelbases.

Some Sportage engines will likely be shared with the Tucson. Hyundai’s base engine is the same 2.5-liter 4-cylinder version that has 187 horsepower and 241 Nm of torque. The next offer is a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder hybrid option that produces 226 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque.

According to confirmed rumors, the plug-in hybrid powertrain for the new Sportage and Tucson will be introduced soon. The new Sportage is rumored to be unveiled in April. That means until the next few weeks! Therefore, it can be assumed that sales in the United States and other markets will start by the end of the year.
