OnePlus launched the OnePlus Ace smartphone in China in April last year. Replaced this phone yesterday With the name OnePlus Ace 2 Unveiled. Along with the Ace 2 phone, OnePlus also unveiled a new wireless earbud called Buds Ace.
OnePlus Ace 2 specifications
OnePlus Ace 2 uses the first generation Snapdragon 8 Plus chip and runs ColorOS 13 operating system based on Android 13 by default. Up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage are offered in most cases, but there is no microSD card slot to expand storage. This device weighs 204 grams and its thickness reaches 8.7 mm.
OnePlus Ace 2 sports a 6.74-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2772×1240 pixels and an adaptive refresh rate of 120Hz (40Hz to 120Hz). The maximum display brightness is 1450 nits and supports 1.07 billion colors and HDR1 mode. In addition, it also provides 100% support for the DCI P3 color gamut. The screen is protected by Asahi Glass and has a central punch hole for the 16MP selfie camera. There is also a fingerprint sensor underneath for authentication.

The back panel of Ace 2 is similar to OnePlus 11. This device uses exclusive silk glass technology and is protected by Gorilla Glass 5. This device is equipped with a triple main camera with a 50 megapixel Sony IMX890 main sensor with optical image stabilization. This sensor is accompanied by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera (120 degrees) and a 2-megapixel macro camera.

The smartphone has HyperBoost 2.0 game frame stabilization engine to ensure stable frame rate during gaming. OnePlus has announced that the Ace 2 can run more than 100 games at 120 FPS, but we don’t have a full list of those yet.
The energy of the whole package is provided by a 5000 mAh battery. The battery supports a 100W SuperVOOC adapter that charges from 1% to 100% in 25 minutes. OnePlus claims that the battery life of the cell will be more than 80% after 1,600 discharge cycles, and this is achieved with the help of the SuperVOOC S power management chip.
Other notable features of the OnePlus Ace 2 include IR Blaster, USB-C, NFC and 5G connectivity. The device has dual speakers with Dolby Atmos support.
Price and availability
OnePlus Ace 2 comes in blue and black colors. This phone is available in the global market as OnePlus 11R and has three memory options of 12/256 GB, 16/512 GB and 16/512 GB with prices of 2799, 3099 and 3499 yuan. The phone is up for pre-sale in China via the company’s official Chinese website and sales will begin on February 13.
Introducing OnePlus Buds Ace
As we mentioned above, OnePlus also unveiled Buds Ace wireless earbuds alongside the Ace 2 phone yesterday. The introduction of this product is good news for mobile gamers. This earbud is equipped with 12.4 mm audio drivers with titanium coating.

OnePlus Buds Ace comes with BassWave EQ that intelligently analyzes the sound source and dynamically compensates for some weak low-frequency sound sources. TWS headphones have three default sound settings: Balanced, Clear, and Clear. But if you want, you can customize the EQ to your liking. OnePlus has also added Active Noise Canceling (ANC) technology to these earbuds.
Additionally, OnePlus Buds Ace comes with exclusive PEL Stadium HD sound effects for Peace Elite to provide a better experience of the game. OnePlus touts the 47ms latency reduction over Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity as a nice feature for gamers.
Other important features of OnePlus Buds Ace include touch controls and IP55 certification. Each audio driver has a 41 mAh battery. While the charging box has a 480 mAh cell. OnePlus promises up to 7 hours of music playback with AAC codec, 50% volume, and ANC off, which increases to 36 hours when connected to a charging case. With ANC on, music playback time drops to 5 and 27 hours, respectively. This earbud also supports fast charging technology and will play up to 5 hours of music with 10 minutes of charging.
As for voice calls, OnePlus says the Buds Ace offer up to 4 hours of battery life with AAC codec, 50% volume and ANC off. This time can be extended up to 19 hours by connecting to the charging box. With ANC enabled, you get up to 3.5 hours of battery life, which can be upgraded to 17 hours when connected to a charging case.

The OnePlus Buds Ace TWS headphones come in white and black colors and are priced at 249 yuan ($36). Sales will begin on February 13 (22 February) in China, but you can reserve the device now through the company’s official Chinese website.
