Users of older versions of Android will no longer be able to sign in to their Google Account in the near future

کاربران نسخه‌های قدیمی اندروید در آینده نزدیک دیگر نمی‌توانند وارد حساب گوگل شوند

After a while, companies reduce the capabilities of older versions of their operating systems to somehow encourage users to upgrade their operating system or move on to a new product. Now Google has announced that users who use devices running Android 2.3.7 or older will no longer be able to sign in to their Google Account from September.

Google takes such a step in order to protect the security of users As stated:

“As part of our efforts to keep users safe, Google will no longer be able to sign in to Android devices running Android 2.3.7 and later. This change will take effect on September 27 (September 27). “If after this date you try to log in to your account while using Google products and services such as Gmail, YouTube and Maps, you will encounter a username or password error.”

Therefore, if you are a user of Android 2.3.7, which is called Android Gingerbread and older versions of this operating system, you will get an error for your username and password from October 5 onwards, and you will also not be able to do the following:

  • Sign in to Google products and services like Gmail, YouTube and Maps
  • Add or create a new Google Account
  • Factory reset and attempt to log in
  • Change your Google Account password and try logging in again
  • Remove the old account from the device and try to add it again

Google has advised users to upgrade to a newer version of Android, Android 3.0 or later, so as not to lose access to the company’s services and apps. Of course, if a new version has not been released for your device, as an alternative, you can log in to your Google Account through the browser and use the services of this Internet search giant.

Almost all devices around the world use Android 2.3.7 and older versions of the mobile operating system, however Google wants these users to upgrade their device operating system or move on to a new product. Not bad to know, Google will stop updating Google Play services for devices equipped with Android 4.1 to 4.3 from the end of next month.
