to report engadget Meta has rolled out a major WhatsApp update for iOS. WhatsApp version 23.3.77 that this week by 9to5Mac Seen, it will finally enable support for the picture-in-picture feature in video calls for iOS. This is exactly what iOS users of the Meta Chat app have long been looking for and asking for, and as such The Verge It notes, Meta had started testing it since the end of last year.

Like the PiP mode or the same picture in picture in other platforms, from now on in iOS also during a video call with WhatsApp, if you work with another program, the picture software will take your video call to the corner and allow you to simultaneously See the person you are chatting with and do other things as well. Meta said that this feature and other improvements introduced with the latest WhatsApp update will be rolled out “over the coming weeks.”

WhatsApp 23.3.77 also lets you add captions to documents you send through the app. Additionally, Meta has changed the group chat settings, allowing you to add topics and longer descriptions to better explain what your chat groups are about. There’s also a new option to create an avatar that you can use for your profile picture and stickers.
