Two smartphones with the letters “Zijin” and “Taoyao” are seen in the MIUI codes. Some sources have said that these two names are Xiaomi 12 Lite series. These devices use model numbers L9 and L9B, respectively. According to the source of this information, both phones use a full HD display. In addition, the display refresh rate is 120 Hz and the fingerprint sensor is included.
Xiaomi 12 Lite series uses Qualcomm SM7325 chip and we will see a triple camera on the back panel. The big difference between the two models is the third camera, where Xiaomi Zijin uses a telephoto camera instead of a macro. The other two cameras will be wide and ultra-wide. In the Taoyao model, we will also see the use of a macro lens as a third camera.
According to this source, the phone Zijin is only available in China while the model Taoyao is also available for global markets. Launched in 2020, the Mi 10 Lite and Mi 10 Youth Edition were just different in terms of camera. The device with the telephoto camera was for the Chinese market and another was launched in the global market.
This source of technology has a good track record in providing information on Xiaomi devices and can be trusted to some extent. Of course, the names of the phones may be different from what was said. However, we have to wait until the unveiling of these phones, and certainly by then more information will be released from them. Xiaomi has become one of the strongest players in the mid-range segment with the introduction of various models and is in fierce competition with Samsung and other companies.
